The Lavis are not very good at escaping once caught, too. However, they are generally content to be faithful once reined in a couple of times, and there are generally few problems once these problems are settled. On occasion, the sparkles may briefly return, or so it is hypothesized.
Komuis, the male of the Lenalee species, can be very protective of their families. They do not tolerate intruders well. Fortunately, this sentiment is shared by Allens towards their prospective mates, and while this often causes conflict leading to Allens being harmed at the hands of Komuis, Lenalees are also very well-protected against Crosses, Baks, and any straying Lavis that might wander over. Once mated to a Lenalee, the behaviour of the Allen species does not change very drastically. They do tend to get along better with Komuis, but they still exhibit powerful possessiveness at the mere sight of Crosses. Of course, they are absolutely faithful to their partner.
Despite being of the same species as the Komuis, Lenalees are far more inclined to act against them, mostly when pursuing an Allen. It is not uncommon to see a Lenalee subdue her own protector when an Allen wanders up to eat her dessert.
