Let's just say that Valentine's Day was crap: I had a 6-hour shift at work and the fuckers didn't wanna leave tips. Karma will come to them!
Ahem, but February 15th was a different story. Sure it was cold, windy, and sporadically wet with rain, BUT IT WAS TAIM FOR ANOTHER JAJ (Jan_Arnold_Jen) MEETING DESU! Where jannoy, del, and tchan wreaked havoc in Nihonmachi once more. :3
I wasn't even supposed to meet with Arnold and Jen last Sunday because I was scheduled to work. However, I convinced my boss that since he had me work a six-freaking-hour shift (I was standing/walking the whole time!) on NSD (National Sex Day), I should have at least Sunday off. And presto, I'm off to San Francisco~
We ate at our usual restaurant, Sapporo-ya, where the ramen is superb. We waited like 10-15 minutes to get seated though because of the afternoon Sunday crowds, but it was totally worth it, especially because it was chilly outside.
xDD
After eating, we spent about an hour or so in the Kinokuniya Bookstore (cuz we're supaa nerds like that). We browsed and argued with ourselves as to whether or not we should "buy this or that." lulz, we're poor uni students. ;o;
Sporadically, there would be some random weeaboos cosplaying horribly (v__v). The three of us figured that there was a con or something in Japantown, but we just weren't aware of it.
Anyway, I ended up only buying volume 1 of 20th Century Boys (IT'S SO EFFING AWESOME I LOVE IT OMGAD!) by Naoki Urasawa at Kinokuniya. I totally wanted to buy this one artbook, it was so mondo-coolio and I started thinking about all the sets I could make if I scanned all of the images in, lulz. Well, I didn't buy it and even if I did, I'd be too anal to break and ruin the spine of the book if I were to scan the artwork. ;A; Jen and Arns also got 20CB as well as Pluto and a watercolor artbook.
"Hey, I didn't get a free bookmark!"
THEN WE SEIZED A PURI KURA BOOTH.
Idk if you're aware, but when your pictars are printed from a puri kura booth, they're somewhat smaller than what you may be used to. While we waited for the kind people who worked in the puri kura arcade to enlarge our pictures on the PC, we went back to Kinokuniya and found THE MOST AMUSING BOOK EVAR, where Chinese signs were translated into horribe (i.e. HILARIOUS) English.
"LMAO, Jen, you gotta check this out."
"'CHINGLISH?' LOL, that's almost offensive!"
Me and Jen were laughing so loud that Arnold tracked us down from all the way across the bookstore, lulzcakes. xD The three of us spent almost 20 minutes LMAO while looking through that Chinglish book before we realized that we still had to pick up our finished photos.
"Not everyone knows Haruki Murakami. I didn't know he was an author!"
"Me and Jan know him. We're everyone."
Well, it was getting darker and colder, and all of us had class the next morning (Monday), so we left Nihonmachi after collectiong our pictars. We take the bus because we're SOREAL. But before we departed on the BART (subway), Arnut and Jennar gave me belated Christmas and Valentine's presents! The YOTSUBA@Summer Vacation figure set and a pink Domo-kun!! x33 Thanks you guys!! I love you both!! <33
I conveniently forgot my presents for them at home; they were all wrapped and everything. ;^; Then again, all the more reason to meet up again soon! : D
So, while NSD totally tanked for me, Sunday was a blast. : D

WE'RE SO PRECIOUS; WE LIVE IN A TREASURE CHEST.
We seem to always find ourselves together in the bathtub.

How do we procrastinate the global warming?
