Woah, this week's chapter spoilers came out quite unexpectedly this time, it took Hikamitz and I totally by surprise.

The last chapter, the 192nd Night, was a little different than the others, focusing on Allen's reactions to Kanda's memories (along with Road's reactions to Allen...which were quite eyebrow-raising) rather than the memories themselves.

Hikamitz will present her summary of the 192nd Night shortly, but until then, lets see what The 193rd Night has in store!

そんなことを考えてるユウの耳に「ピ」「ピ」と音が聞こえ、その方を見ると

After some thought, Yu decided to take Alma along and escape together.
As he headed towards his previous laboratory, his memories resurfaced and he tried to control his anger.
The researchers were massacred by Alma.
They were like AKUMA and Yu should die along with them. (I believe this to be Alma's thoughts/words)
Alma attacked Yu.
I can't die yet. Yu counterattack.

Personaly I dont wait for this chapter at all.... I mean I hoped that the flsahbacks will end in this chapter (as alma got his innocence in previous month)...but its again streached out.... and so next month will be still flashbacks........... its been half a year with those damn flashbacks....

I would prefer to see in the meantime other peoples situation (lenalee,lavi,link,tevak) than go back to flashbacks.... but its keep going streight line about only him its just boring alraedy (at least for me)

it would be better if it was like 4chapters of pure flashbacks... current 5th chapter showing off other stuff that is happening in the same time as the flahsbacks.... like we see lenalees fight with lulubell..lavis and krorys groups small fights.... than we go to link-tevak closeing up to madarou.... and last pages we go back to flashbacks.... so 6th will be anotehr full flashbacks

yet keeping up for sooo bloody long the same thing over and over again is just Heavy for non-kanda fan like me ^^

so yeah I cant wait for June chapter since may chapter will be again about the kanda fight with alma so flashbacks (which im kidna sick already from it since I already know who will win that fioght from c187 if I remember)

I could not have said it better myself. Honestly the way the other fights with NOAHS were pushed to the background is annoying. I'm half expecting them to be sipping tea behind the scenes as they wait for their turn to pop up again I mean you show ALL of the noahs a few chapters back then you send them on the attack BUT YOU NEVER SHOW THEIR DAMN FIGHTS?! that's just wrong. Noah's aren't Akuma so you can just toss them in and have them play with the exorcists in the background. At least they weren't last time I checked =_=

I'm actually really enjoying the way the story has been going in the last few chapters. The next one seems like the logical progression of it, from the spoilers we've seen.

I think Kanda needed an in-depth backstory like this, badly, and this is the least that could have been done for it. There are still plenty of things we don't know about him which will have to be resolved later in the story, so the flashbacks won't be meaning 'and so this is the end of the story of Kanda's backstory, we've finished the Kanda part of DGM now, kthxbai'.

But if by the time the 194th Night rolls around we haven't seen what's going on outside Kanda's brain, then it's going to be disappointing. There's such a lot going on that we haven't got to see yet. (Noahs, fights...There's just no way we won't be shown those. Unless Hoshino wants a fan revolt on her hands.)

At this point I'm wondering if Alma was the only test subject to ever go crazy like that. They would probably have cancelled the experiments if any of them had gone on an Innocence-rampage before, but the way they wanted them nice and memory-wiped indicated strongly that they know leaving them with memories is a Very Bad Idea.

I usually don't like if more than 5 chapters focus only on on place/event/person, I prefer if we have little updates of others too, but this time I wouldn't want it any other way, these memories are so tragic and emotional I don't want to be distracted with others, heck I get mad when there's some irrelevant comic relief moments too.

I suggest those who can't take this current progression lightly just forget about DGM for a while, like it's on another break, when I got bored with an arc of a manga I do this, it's better than always complaining. There are many readers who enjoy that arc.

And don't forget these mangas remain for years, don't expect the mangaka ruin their story and rush things just to satisfy some of their weekly/monthly readers. Maybe some of readers are bored now, saying it's months and I'm fed up with this arc, but wait after a year and more chapters, and when you look back you'll see it was the right way for the events to be unfold.

well I only read that short spoiler and I already knew that I will wait for June chapter... since may will be the boring alma-kanda fight... we alreayd know that kanda will slash him over and over and over and over again... till he loses the possibility of regeneration....

it would be more interesitng if we were not spoiled already so many times how that story leads to...

I'm totaly not waiting for this chapter... when it appears than it appaers... I will read it once and forget that it ever existed.... simply I dont like focus on 1place for 6months.... previous chapter was better becouse there was Allen-Road interreaction which was funny and cute. its the same situation like with other exorcists... we can assume that from the time that Allen met tyki in those mountains (and other noahs appeard in other locations at the same time) few full hours have passed...

so why cant hoshino jump to the other places now as allen & kanda are trapped in the flashbacks... let show how they are doing in those few hours time gap..... did lulubell said to lenalee what Earl is doing in this very moment....... those fights are important... to show how timothy goes against a noah for example... how lenalees inocence power is compared to noahs... the same goes for krory...

but I feel that we wont see those fights ever.... like they will be made in the background... than the noah retreat and we see them on the ground tired... not knowing what is going on... but for me its BAD and SAD..... soooooo much Kanda story focus and so let throw out everything else like its not important..... but in my eyes its even more imporant than kandas story... since its up to Allen what he will do.... will he leave order and all his friends (lenalee included) just like that becouse he saw soemone's else past....(even throught kanda remained with the order after going throught that)...

well im maybe complaining a lot... but well its very heavy for non-kandas fans... to wait 6months and endure the full kanda focus while totaly forget about anything around.... and 1month waiting isnt helping ^^ in reality we could comapre this to...

I would be soooooo glad if hoshino at the end of each chapter made a preview of next one... so we could expect things to come in next chapter... like she mentions that next chapter will be continuation of kanda past people fans would wait... not fans could take a break.... and not live with fake hopes to see anything other than flashbacks that they have not bigger interest in ^^

I wait for that damn Alma to wake up already (*isnt a strong kick in the nuts enought to wake him up ????*) and so we could go with the stopry further and not stay in the same point for 6months ^^ (showing some other exorcists action that happens in the same time as the flashbacks would kinda show that the time is flowing and not staying in 1point >__<)


well about the where that leads to.... well it leads to the same thing it was before the flashbakc even started.... "allen decission to stay or leave order" but hoshino could resolve this in 1page for example:

I'm fully expecting that fight to be incredibly intense. Alma had already slaughtered 42 lab personnel before Kanda found him, meaning he's probably in the full throes of his rampage. Based on what Hoshino has shown us in the last chapter (sliced Crow bodies mmmmm), I'm expecting a lot of blood and violence from this particular fight, especially since both boys can regenerate. I'm also preparing to shed a few tears.

I was of the mind that Kanda would see Alma slaughering the scientists and be forced to stop him by killing him or some such sugar-coated nonsense. The fact that Alma was driven so completely bonkers as to turn on the one person he was trying to save the entire time... Yeah, this next fight will be anything but boring, if you ask me. This is only my opinion though. Their friendship was built up too much for it to end with a boring "slash slash slash you're dead" battle.

Obviously a strong kick to the nuts didn't wake Alma up, I'm sure Leverrier tried that to alleviate some frustration.

I suggest you wait till May, when I'm fairly certain this arc will end and the battle we begin.

Timeline works like this:

190 - Intro information & establish friendship & hints of upcoming doom
191 - More intro information & final establishing of friendship & even more hints of upcoming doom
192 - Middle information, explaining the truth & Kanda frozen, Alma nuts
193 - Middle information, Kanda wakes up, Alma goes on a killing spree, begin fight
194 - Fight continues for probably the entire chapter, with Marie and "that woman" involved
195 - Fight ends, perhaps some aftermath, and finally return to the present

See? You just have to wait two months.

You don't have to be a fan of Kanda to enjoy this arc. It's not all about Kanda and Alma, but about a deep friendship and what the Order has done to win the war. And while we know how the fight up ahead will turn out, we have no idea what happens in-between. There has to be a lot of emotions and such involved, and it would really straight-down suck if that was ignored just because we know that Kanda cuts Alma over and over until he keels over.

I think you're getting caught up on the fact that you don't like Kanda, while this is hardly only about him. Not to say you're not allowed to not like the arc, but it feels like you're just... whining and not acting mature about it. No offense, but... the only thing it provides is a bad aura to the thread. I appreciate that you put a bit of it under spoiler, though.

I'm just saying you could phrase things better, that's all.

since April is wasted... May will be the "only" Kadna vs Alma (and I hope it will end there once for all)... so back to reality in "June" chapter

by looking on the spoiler I dont see any glimpse of Allen or Road.... all Yu...Marie... Alma... yu.. marie... alma...alma...yu..... ect so it focuses only on those 3chars (most on 2...)..... rest is killed off... like Edgar was killed by Alma near the end... ....still I wonder when the raws will pop out from this magazine.... since Heji quit provideing with raws....

well the think is that they did not make a agonize thread on MH >__< so no place to cry out the frustration of 1month of waiting hopes getting crushed (hoped that the flashbacks would end... or like previous chapter contain more Allen-Road scens).... they dont go with the "free to speach & own opinion" rules.... so be it... wont post it there till next may spoiler (maybe few panels with allen-road might show up... since at least they have funny interreaction and not gloomy like shit kanda ^^)

I doubt that Kanda's character development will end "once and for all" after this arc. Like others have said, there is still so much to him that simply can't be explained away in a couple of chapters. Personally, I think that we're only starting to scrape the surface. Ugh, please don't be offended. I just dislike it when people say that this month is a wasted chapter simply because their favorite characters aren't in it...

Well I think this arc is totally best one in a while. I've waited for it since I started reading this manga...er, not maybe for it, but for something like this. It's great.

Also as far as the "reality" is concerned, I'd say only a few moments have passed in there. Since after a few chapters of mindreading we see someone pointing out that Alma is starting to wake up, and to me it doesn't look like a lot of time has passed before the beginning and that exclamation - sure, it might be me, but I'd say nobody's missing on anything.

And I really don't think any fight in such a context could be classified as "boring". Like Lottie said, it's ought to be a nice and scarring sight, and I look forward to it, because it's development to both characters and the story, and hopefully we'll get to know more, even if there still will be questions unanswered.

Also Kanda does need the screentime he's hogging, not to mention that, as it was already said, it's a lot more than a Kanda story, it tells about the whole Order, and has other people in it as well. It is important for the whole story. (And - I'd say there should be a total Kanda arc some time in the future again (which will hopefully show that epic meeting with Lenalee and Lavi. Too depressing at the moment)). I wouldn't mind if this went on for like 10 chapters at least.

I am freakin excited about this chapter. Especially since I put it into a translator and came out with a line saying dododododoodo . Its probably a sound effect or something but its still funny.

Like most people have said, these flashbacks arent just about Kanda but the Order as a whole and everthing they've done.Even if it was just about Kanda, it still be fair considering the fact he didnt show up too much in alot of other arcs.

Now on to the blood sports!

And I agree. He had disappeared from the manga completely for a rather long while a few times, he deserves some spotlight too considering he's supposed to be the second main character though to me honestly it doesn't seem so.

I agree, he really is not. But I hope that doesn't happen, I don't really like characters rapidly changing. >_> Since we've already seen Kanda is a jackass by nature (of course, all the shit added to it but still his personality wasn't much different from the beginning), I wouldn't want anyone to suddenly completely change their opinion on him. As for Allen.. he might sympathize/pity a bit, since he's that kind of a person, but that won't make their clashing views on things change. So even if the general view on a person changes a little, it's not like they'd start agreeing on stuff or justifying actions they think are stupid according to their own principles after all this mindrape is over. If anything, Allen's view on the Order itself might change - and here again, he already saw the Thirds, so it might not be too big of a shock except that he sees people he actually knows for a while. Of course, we'll see what happens sooner or later.
