We all know about the lack of DGM coloured pages, and I think everyone kind of wants the manga coloured. D. Gray-man is pretty popular, it deserves more colouring. We, the staff thought it was a good idea to start a small group here with no more than 13 people.
In this group (We go by the name Millennium Pallete) the people who are in it should set their difference aside with the characters they like and the characters they do not like. We'll not center on the OT4 but will try and pay more attention to other characters as well, OT4 is allowed but DGM doesn't only exist out of those 4 characters.
They agreed with the plan to first get a Social Group, and if we get active enough perhaps a forum. The first thing that we should do when we have enough members is to colour some panels of a chapter. I think the first project will show what we can do, and I think that if we can colour a lot panels in a chapter, the group won’t be looked at as, "will only last for a couple of weeks before they vanish into thin air", since it will take a lot of work, and won’t be something worth discarding. It will not be a chapter every month, since that would become boring, and it takes way too much time.
We're hoping for a total of 13 members in the end, and currently there are 09 free spaces:
If you wish to enter, we expect this from you:
- You know how to shade.
- You know how to highlight.

- You know the basics of adjustment layers
- You can colour one panel every second week.

Can I just be more of a side member and submit colorings every few weeks? I don't color DGM solely, and one a week is just too constrictive of a timetable for me this year due to college and schoolwork. If that's not acceptable, I'll just opt out.
And do I really need to color those panels to show what I can do..? You can see my progress from beginning to around May of this year here, but there's some newer stuff in my DA gallery.

Yeah, people do have their own life, I guess if we get 13 people to join the group we can make the rule from two weeks to a month. Before I change that, there have to be at least 4 more people.
I heard from some other people that the panels I've picked are a difficult, I'll change them later to images, but there won't be any panels/images from the OTP4, is that ok with you ?

Yeah it is, but usually people pick either Kanda, Lavi, Allen, or Lenalee to colour, if you join this group you also need to colour other people from this serie. I picked the images of characters that aren't really popular (Cross is, but he's nothing compared to the OTP4.) I want to focus more on other characters than the four main characters.
OTP4 are the four main characters from DGM, Allen, Kanda, Lavi and Lenalee.

What happens if a member fails to color a panel?
No, every two weeks. When we have more than seven members we'll give you more time, to maybe three or four weeks.
Good question, haven't really thought of that... The member will get two more weeks the time, if by then she/he hasn't coloured a panel she/he is out.. But I'm not sure about it, I'll have to talk about it with Lussuria what she thinks of it.

The overall look I have is good, I really like it, the shading in the face is great, I love Maria's lips what is your trick ?? good use of highlights and shading, the only thing I don't really like is his skin colour but thats just my own opinion :') Also the huge highlight on his cheek is a bit too much, maybe if you'd lessen the opacity or use less highlights there it would look better. I see a few places where you forgot to colour, but that happens to everyone. I think you have what it takes, I like your colouring so I think you can get in. :') Lussuria also needs to give her opinion about your colouring, and if she agrees I'll add your name to the list. :'D

And lol, I had no idea what his skin color or what cross's normal colors are at all. I had to bug Reverie on MSN to ask him what color is this or that. I think I miscolored his eye. And some other stuff.
And I had no idea what that plate thing on his face was. Is it opera mask like or steel? After finishing the mask I was like "OMG ITS FINALLY DONE [/saves]" and only after that did I notice I forgot to color the strings and stuff under his uncovered eye.

Don't worry about skin colour, it's ok to use another skin colour than his official. If you need skin codes I can take a printscreen of my swatches :'D I've got like 245354 skin colours but almost never use them. Plus if you have official coloured images you can steal them from those, or just steal them from coloured manga panels :') There are also some tutorials around LJ and DA about skin colours.. I don't have them saved, I have enough skin colours.
I wouldn't know about Cross his mask D: I just looked at him in the anime and, uh, yeah I tried to look for a colour that kinda looked like the one in the anime :'D

I think i'm going through a newbie phase. You know how most "good-looking" characters are pale and stuff in manga? I'm attracted to that kind of paleness and right now it feels wrong to use any other skin color on the characters I try to color on.
I'm sure I'll grow out of this though.
lulz i tried to find an anime screenie in google images of him and most of them were expired links so reverie turned to cosplay photos instead to tell me the color. ;;
Yeah, I know :'D Don't worry about it, you'll find out that sometimes a pale skin doesn't fit the character you want to colour. :')
I've seen your Mukuro colouring, you said it was your first 'serious' colouring, that's very good if your first colouring turns out like that, I'm sure you'll become better if you practice more. I can't wait to see more colourings from you.
Haha, I'm sure you can find Cross stuff around here :'D Like the new DVD cover has Maria and Cross on it, and where all the official stuff is posted and stuff...

Yeah, it was my first "serious" coloring. The rest of them were done without detail period as they were colored for LJ icons and stuff.
And you know how lazy you can be when you're coloring something to be shrunk enough to 100 x 100 px, right? You're like, oops, totally colored over the line, ohwell no one will notice at that size anyway.
Yeah, I saw the DVD cover, but his hair totally covered the mask. :c
Yeah D: First you try your best on the shading and stuff and then you realize it's going to be re-sized to 100x100 and all the shading will be lost and then its just "screw this".
Maybe Frey can help you out with that :') I have all the panels in which Lulubell is good visible cut out and in a folder... Which, sadly are only 8 pictures ;;
