Was there anyone out there as impressed with the first episode as I was? It struck me that it wasn't even subbed in English but I still found it much more enjoyable than anything else coming out this season. (except maybe Vampire Knight)
Here is Wikipedia's summary (people keep asking what it is about and their summary is better than mine)-
Set in the modern age, the story is about Rokujo Miharu, who just wanted to live a normal life and inherit a restaurant. At the moment, his biggest problem was the constant pestering from Kouichi Aizawa and Thobari Kumohira, who started a Nindō (忍道, Nindō? lit. "Way of the Ninja") Club. Miharu wanted nothing to do with "ninjas" and turns them down every time. But soon, he is attacked by an actual group of ninjas and is protected by Kouichi and Kumohira. There, Miharu learns of the hidden ninja world Nabari, the roles of his classmate and teacher in that world, and of the hijutsu Shinrabanshō (森羅万象, Shinrabanshō? lit. "all things in nature") within him. The hijutsu, containing all the world's knowledge, is sorely coveted after in Nabari. And because of that, Miharu cannot return to his normal life. He must become the "Ruler of Nabari" to survive.
I love Yoite...I broke down an read the Manga. (Up to 7, the rest I can only look at because it isn't translated.)
Manga Spoilers 1-8
Yoite and his friends supposedly kidnap Miharu, but it isn't translated so I am not exactly sure what happens. It looks like Yoite tries to kill Miharu but he just can't. They appear to become extreemly close later and Miharu seems to be trying to mother him, making him a scarf and trying over and over again to comfort him. (I don't know for sure that is just what it looks like). It's strange because sometimes Yoite and Miharu seem like enemies, others like they are just hanging out.
I like this more than Naruto. Seems to me that their system is much more well thought out than Kishi's. I think Yuurisan did a sub of ep4...Veoh downloaded it from them.
Hm...I want to watch some more right now, but my bandwidth won't let me.
I'm downloading a torrent with the whole season of Samurai Champloo in it right now, and the speed finally went up to 90-120kpbs instead of hanging around 15kbps. I'll have to wait until the speed dies down or it finishes until I can watch some more Nabari.
Edit-oh Prince Leon has links...that is better. The Nabari Comminity link I posted above is also a good reference because they have manga as well.
(I watched Samurai Champloo via Netflix...I watched so many good series via netflix, Noein, Ergo Proxy, Texhnolyze...and I am just starting "Le poitrat Le Petite Cossete"...excuse spellin it's freakin amazing so far)
